We are a family run business based in Horley, Surrey and we cover all areas of Surrey as well as the surrounding counties.

Led by Edward, who has over 15 years’ experience both in the private and commercial cleaning sector in Surrey, our small and friendly team of professional technicians are expertly trained and certified by Prochem, a leading supplier and school who are registered with the National Training Academy for the Cleaning Industry.

At County Carpet Cleaning we are very serious about what we do and we care about your property and belongings. We therefore believe that an on-site survey is vital, not just to discuss your cleaning requirements but also to assess and identify a number of factors to enable us to carry out the best job possible. 

What I will always check during a survey from extensive training:

  •  Construction and fibre of the carpet
  • The condition of the carpet and depth of soiling
  • Check signs of staining and how these may be removed
  • Dye test to ensure the use of correct cleaning solution (some rugs are also prone to 'dye bleed')
  • Discuss any special treatments which may be required
To ensure you are in very good (and careful) hands, each service we  offer has been certified, tried and proven. Furthermore, with absolutely no exceptions we adhere to the British Standard PAS 86 code of practice which gives the recommendations for the inspection, maintenance and cleaning of textile floor coverings.

The products and machinery which we use are all supplied by Prochem, therefore adhere to the highest industry standards of safety and reliability, as well as being the most advanced on the market. 

All products are non-toxic, are used in accordance with COSHH regulations and are always WOOLSAFE approved where providing maintenance for wool carpets, rugs and upholstery.

our equipment

A very important part of our service is vacuuming using a HEPA high filtration, anti-allergy vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush. This ensures as much dirt as possible has been removed from your carpet before we apply any pre-spray / stain removal products and then extracting. We will always vacuum every carpet prior to any extraction work, it is part of the service.


Our preferred 'machine' is the Miniflex HX 400 Professional Carpet Cleaner. This is a compact, portable extraction unit, with a very high water pressure coupled with amazing vacuum power which leaves carpets far dryer upon completion.  We find this equipment provides the correct balance of extraction power to size ratio for domestic carpet cleaning. 

This allows us to give you wonderfully clean and hygienic carpets and upholstery with the flexibility to move around your home, upstairs and down without having lots of workers in your house or yards and yards of trailing cables and pipes. We also use only as much electrical power and water as we need to.
